DUST TO DUST
Mosquitos, genetically modified to carry the malaria vaccine, were poisonous to sparrows, which died out. That led to the extinction of sparrow predators, and subsequent rise of voles, mice, and even deer, which overate grasses, triggering the second great dust bowl.
