SOLITARY

I was sentenced to solitary 48 days ago. I began hallucinating six days in. I decided to embrace it. Yesterday I was pardoned, and today I’m sitting on a hill in the park, terrified that if I pay too much attention to any one thing, I’ll feel cold concrete under my feet.
